Snap Ask – Dinosaur Soap
A local company was organising a dinosaur exhibition during the pandemic and approached us to create Dinosaur Soap with a tiny dinosaur bone toy inside as a gift for children to use for hand washing. After using the soap, children could obtain the dinosaur toy inside the soap as a souvenir.
As this soap was for a dinosaur exhibition, Jack wanted to make several transparent colours with a specific appearance that matched the designated dinosaur species (including Triceratops, T-Rex, Stegosaurus, and Brachiosaurus). Each soap contained one dinosaur bone toy for children.
Taking this opportunity, we collaborated with a 3D designer to create 3D moulds for the four types of dinosaurs (Triceratops, T-Rex, Stegosaurus, and Brachiosaurus). We then used the moulds to make a set of four Dinosaur Soaps. When making the soaps, we added the corresponding dinosaur bones to them. To make the soaps more fun, each soaps has a different colour, which comes from different natural plant and clay powders: green (Artemisia powder) for Triceratops, pink (pink clay powder) for T-Rex, yellow (gardenia powder) for Stegosaurus, and blue (ultramarine powder) for Brachiosaurus.
