The Classic

As early as 3000 BC, the Mesopotamians in Western Asia mixed wood ash with oils to create the earliest natural cleansing product—soap. Over time, three famous traditional soaps emerged: Aleppo soap from Syria, Castilla soap from Spain, and Marseille soap from France.

These three classic soaps are based on ancient formulas. Olive oil is the key component, providing moisture and gentle cleansing, while preventing skin dryness. Aleppo soap combines olive oil with antibacterial and anti-inflammatory laurel oil to repair the skin, improving acne, eczema, psoriasis, and other sensitive skin conditions. Castilla soap is made from 100% olive oil without the addition of other oils, providing nourishment and repairing dry skin while preventing aging. Marseille soap, traditionally made with 72% olive oil, 18% coconut oil, and 10% palm oil, has been modified in our palm-free version by replacing palm oil with shea butter, which is more environmentally friendly and moisturising.
